Skate Style: My Favorite Outfit For Skate Dates
Updated: May 12
What's up loves,
Over the past couple of weeks I have gotten so many compliments on the outfit I wore to the Ft. Worth Hop-N-Roll rollout in January that I wanted to share it with you! As we all know, roller skating is centered around having fun and building athleticism, but it doesn't have to be tasteless! One of my favorite things to do is dress up my skates and consider them with my outfits since I practically wear them every day. So today I'm going to share with you one of my favorite "rolling out" outfits I put together that is perfect for nearly any well-weathered occasion!
This wide brim hat is a staple I’ve had my eye on for a minute, and Janee finally got one, so that means I got one too! LOL! “We” got it from Target for a whopping $14 and I’ve literally been trying to make outfits out of it since! I couldn’t wait to go through my “later Winter/early Spring” wardrobe box to find something that matched this hat, and to my luck I resurfaced this printed cardigan that had the same exactly color! This lightweight shawl is an oldie but goodie from Papaya I got around $16 with an olive tee give me such retro vibes. Honestly, Im a sucker for shopping for less. If I can put a whole outfit together for the low, I’m definitely here for it.
My all time favorite bells! I don’t always get to wear bell bottoms because I’m short, and they seem to o my Make bell bottoms for tall girls 🙃 but now that I wear skates that give me some extra height, I couldn't resist. These beautiful bells were from Charlotte Russe for $20-25. (I got them during a limited run of bell bottoms they had, but unfortunately they have not returned since then.) I love them because they’re high waisted and actually have front pockets! (Because most women’s jeans don’t have front pockets. 🤦🏾♀️) These pants are actually really long because even wearing them with skates the pant rubs against the wheels, but, here we are.
Last but certainly not least, my favorite accessory of all time, my Moxi roller skates. i switched out my black heart stoppers for the striped ones for a fun new look with an eye catching design. This look is so far my favorite skate date outfit that I can literally wear to any place! Let me know what your favorite outfits are in the comments! I hope I inspired you to get creative with your skate outfits! 😍
