Baby, Spring My Way!
Updated: Dec 27, 2019
Last week was the official Spring equinox and I am a happy girl! Although I am continuously grateful for Winter and its colder weather, I was prepared for its departure. Let's face it, ya girl can only make so many different combinations with the same three sweaters for so long!
"The beautiful spring came, and when nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also." - H.A.J
I love Spring because the colors are vibrant, there are flowers everywhere and the weather is warmer but cool enough for me to hang out in. My girlfriend and I were eager to get outside this past weekend and have ourselves a little photo shoot in the gorgeous weather! We were inspired by the plethora of painted murals in downtown Dallas so we stopped at a few locations on our venture. There's nothing like posing in front of a colorful wall in colorful skates!
For me, Spring is a time to focus on our blooming. We maneuver through life like flowers. We were seeds that flowered and continue to bloom. Rough seasons, like Winter, may challenge us, force us to "repot" and recondition our soil, but we must continue to water our roots and blossom.
Spring is the season for me to continue my blossom by getting motivated to create, roller skating my heart out and coordinating a routine for my creative outputs. This is a crucial time for me to realize that inspiration and opportunities are not just going to be handed to me; I've got to get out there and get it, and that's my goal for every day. If I want my blog to be anything close to the amazing and inspiring blog I know it will be in due time, I will have to kick my procrastinating habits to the side and get my act together so that I may continue to flourish. This is my way of "Springing into action," (or getting my shit together before summer, whichever). There are many different ways people utilize the turning of spring to better themselves and their situation. The flowers growing all around inspire us to come alive again and bloom with everything we've got!
This season I am putting my best foot first and going after what I want. That means getting rid of negative thoughts/energies that block me from my blessings, ending my habits of procrastination and taking better care of my health. With all of these things to work on, I know that I will put myself in a situation to go nowhere but up! My self-preparations for Spring may look different to you, as everyone has their own ways of motivating themselves for improvement. Nonetheless, I encourage each and every one of you to get inspired to make changes that will water your roots and help you grow!
